3. Common issues

My nursery progress disappeared / a baby animal is missing

All nursery progress is stored locally on your device, not on our servers. If you reinstalled the app, cleared its storage, or switched devices, the progress doesn’t travel with you — online cross-device sync is on the roadmap but not in v1. If progress vanished on the same device without any of those actions, please email us a screenshot — Firebase Analytics can usually confirm what animals you had unlocked up to that point and we can restore them via a one-time in-app code.

I can’t seem to unlock a specific baby animal

Each animal unlocks from a specific Yahtzee-style combo. The Nursery screen shows the required combo under each locked slot (e.g. “Full house” for the Baby Hedgehog). Some seasonal animals (pumpkin pup, snowflake seal) are only available during limited-time events — if the event has ended, they’ll return next season.

My purchased dice skin isn’t showing up

Tap Settings → Restore Purchases in the app. Dice skins are tied to your Apple or Google account, so they should restore automatically on any device signed in to the same account. If a restore doesn’t bring them back, email info@driftmothgames.com with the skin name and your purchase receipt.

The game runs slow, stutters, or audio cuts out

DiceBaby targets iOS 16+ and Android 10+. On older devices, try: closing other apps in the background, restarting the device, and lowering the Settings → Animation quality option (toggled to Cozy Mode) which disables some ambient particles. For audio glitches, check that the device isn’t connected to a Bluetooth speaker that has gone idle.

I want to reset my nursery and start over

Tap Settings → Reset Nursery. This wipes all local progress — unlocked animals, collected dice skins (cosmetic purchases are preserved), and round history. A confirmation dialog with a hold-to-confirm button prevents accidental taps. If you’ve lost the button or the option isn’t working, uninstalling and reinstalling the app achieves the same result.

4. In-app purchases (IAP)

  • Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) depending on your device.
  • A receipt is sent to the email associated with your Apple ID or Google account — that’s your record of purchase.
  • To restore purchases on a new device: open the app, sign in with the same Apple ID / Google account, and tap Settings → Restore Purchases.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google, not by Driftmoth Games:
    • Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com
    • Google: play.google.com/store/account
  • Refund approval is at Apple’s or Google’s discretion per their respective policies.

5. Account and data deletion

  • DiceBaby has no account system. All gameplay data is stored locally on your device.
  • To delete all local DiceBaby data: uninstall the app, or clear its storage in your device settings (iOS: Settings → General → iPhone Storage → DiceBaby → Offload App; Android: Settings → Apps → DiceBaby → Storage → Clear Data).
  • For analytics data collected by Firebase Analytics (aggregated, not linked to you personally), email info@driftmothgames.com — we will submit a deletion request to Google on your behalf.
  • See the DiceBaby Privacy Policy for the full list of your GDPR rights.

6. Accessibility

  • The app honours system-level accessibility settings (text size, Bold Text, Reduce Motion on iOS; TalkBack and similar on Android).
  • If you encounter an accessibility barrier, email info@driftmothgames.com with details. We treat accessibility reports as high priority.
  • See our site accessibility statement for our broader WCAG 2.1 AA target and known limitations.

7. Data and privacy

  • See the DiceBaby Privacy Policy for the complete list of what data the app collects and your rights under GDPR.
  • Driftmoth Games does not sell data, does not share data with advertisers beyond what Google AdMob requires to serve ads, and does not track you across other apps.
