BLOKFALL
Rotate, drop, clear — stack the falling blocks and survive the rising speed.
How to Play
Fit the falling tetromino pieces into horizontal lines. Complete a line and it clears, making room for more. Use rotation and hold to set up multi-line clears for bigger scores. If the stack reaches the top of the playfield, it's game over.

About This Game
A neon-drenched take on the classic falling-block puzzle, inspired by classic Tetris-style block-falling gameplay. Rotate and slot tetrominoes into gapless rows to clear them before the stack hits the ceiling. Modern wall-kicks, hard drop, hold piece, and a next-queue mean you can plan several moves ahead.
What is BLOKFALL?
BLOKFALL is a fast-paced falling-block puzzle game inspired by the classic Tetris-style genre that has entertained players for decades. Seven-shape tetrominoes drop one at a time from the top of a neon playfield. You rotate and slide each piece to fit it into the growing stack at the bottom, with the goal of packing horizontal lines gap-free. Complete a line and it clears, giving you room to keep going. Modern niceties make BLOKFALL more forgiving than the originals: a hold slot lets you park a piece for later, wall-kicks let rotations tuck into tight spaces, hard-drop slams a piece down instantly, and a next-piece queue lets you plan two moves ahead. Speed increases as you clear more lines — survive as long as you can before the stack reaches the ceiling. Play BLOKFALL free in your browser — no download required.
Tips & Strategy
- Keep the stack as flat as possible. Uneven rows waste every I-piece and force awkward S/Z placements that leave buried holes.
- Save one column for I-pieces. Clearing four lines at once (a 'Tetris') scores dramatically more than four single clears.
- Use the hold slot to bank an I-piece until you need it — parking it early saves you from wasting it on a three-line gap.
- S and Z pieces are the hardest. Don't try to fit them perfectly every time; letting them stack one row higher than the base is fine.
- At higher speeds, stop aiming for Tetrises and just clear singles or doubles. Survival beats score when the board is close to topping out.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is BLOKFALL different from Tetris?
BLOKFALL uses the same seven-tetromino shapes and line-clearing core, but adds modern conveniences: a hold slot, hard drop, a next-piece queue, and soft wall-kicks on rotation. The neon visual style is original to BLOKFALL. Gameplay rules, scoring, and line-clear mechanics follow the modern block-falling standard that most players already know.
What are the controls for BLOKFALL?
On desktop, use the arrow keys to move and soft-drop, up arrow or X to rotate clockwise, Z to rotate counter-clockwise, Space for hard drop, C to hold, and P to pause. On mobile, touch controls are provided for the same actions.
Does BLOKFALL get faster?
Yes. As you clear more lines the pieces fall faster and you have less time to plan each placement. The speed scale is smooth rather than stepped, so the game ramps steadily instead of jolting you each level. Most runs end when the stack finally reaches the ceiling during a fast segment.
Can I play BLOKFALL on my phone?
Yes. BLOKFALL supports touch controls — drag to move pieces, tap to rotate, swipe down for hard drop — and the portrait playfield fits phones and tablets cleanly. No install is needed; just open the BLOKFALL page in your mobile browser and press Play.
